CAMP SHAKERS 2009

Hi hi,

Its time of the year again where we start planning one of the greatest event for Promisedland. The committee has again been formed thru drawing of lots, the appointments are as follows:

CHAIRMAN - ANDY
VICE CHAIRWOMAN - ANGELIA
TREASURER - JASMINE & SHIQUAN
PROGRAM - BINGHUI & JUNE
LOGISTICS - PEI EN & JUNJIE

Good combination huh? The first meeting will be held on 29th March 2009 (Sunday) 12pm. If you are unable to attend, let me know via sms.

The agenda is as follows:

1. 2008 camp mistakes, to watch for this year
2. Theme

5. Target campers
6. Others

Please start thinking if you have any ideas, pour them out. Remember, we just want to run the camp well. lets work as a team.

CROSSROAD LEAGUE 2008

The soccer boys took part in a under 17 league called the CROSSROAD LEAGUE. After playing two games, we have one win, one lost. Here are some pictures..

After this game, we would say that indeed the attitude of the boys are good. They showed character. Lets keep it up, the leagus is still for the taking.

TEEN GAMES BASKETBALL

Our 2nd participation for Teen Games 2008 comes from our basketball team. The boys took part in the Under 18 tournament. Even though they won only one game, but the boys are able to lift their heads up as we gave all the other teams a hard fight. Gradually, we won the other teams over as we were playing, the whole court was cheering for us. Our never say die spirit held on..

GENTING CHURCH CAMP

I think all would have agreed that this year's camp is definitely well worth the money and trip up. Not only for the fun, but also the bonding that we had up there. We enjoyed everybody's company so much.. Not just the youths but also the adults. Most importantly, we enjoyed God's presence so so so much.... Every worship is so uplifting, the power of God is so enjoyable.. Especially on the 2nd night... WOW!! Praise God!

The first to arrive on genting.. the youth coach.. many thanks to the bus driver who was driving at break neck speed... Andy and shawn who were sitting at the last row had to hold on so tightly as their butts were constantly being lifted up from the seats due to the high speed.

The adults.. They were extremely fun.. Not in any way losing to the youths. Just look at their wacky photo. The friends that went with us were definitely very "promisedland". "Fun, crazy, loud, and able to eat.. Uncle Peter was whacking the buffet dinner man.. Also special thanks to Uncle Chee Yong, for really taking care of the youths and also a great company for everybody at the camp. Very fun person.

Great camp once again... Looking forward to the next one already.. Malacca? Desaru? Or any other suggestions like Lek Howe's Taipei? Anyway.. Thank God for this great camp, in this time of uncertainity, He reminded us that He is still with us and He loves us...
